Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what personal information Wellbeing with Yasmin collects, why it is used, who it may be shared with and the choices you have.

Who we are

Wellbeing with Yasmin is the trading name used by Yasmin Majid, who operates the business as a sole trader.

For the personal information covered by this policy, Yasmin Majid, trading as Wellbeing with Yasmin, is the data controller.

What this policy covers

This policy covers information collected when you:

  • visit wellbeingwithyasmin.com;
  • contact Yasmin through the website or by email;
  • ask to book or book an introductory conversation, known as a Virtual Tea;
  • join Yasmin’s newsletter;
  • become a prospective or paying coaching client; or
  • otherwise communicate with Wellbeing with Yasmin about its work.

If you become a coaching client, you will also receive the relevant service agreement and any more specific privacy information needed for that relationship. Those documents should be read alongside this policy.

Information we may collect

When you visit the website

We may receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed, dates and times, and how you interact with the site.

Optional analytics, session-recording and advertising technologies are used only where the law allows and, where consent is required, only after you choose to allow them.

When you contact us

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number where you provide it, your message and any information you choose to include in an email or other direct communication.

Please do not include detailed health information, diagnoses or other sensitive personal information in an initial website message. If that information is needed for coaching, Yasmin will explain the appropriate and more private way to share it.

When you join the newsletter

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number where you provide it, your marketing choices, the form or source you used, and records of your subscription, engagement or unsubscribe request. We use an email-marketing and subscriber-management service to hold the subscriber list and send marketing communications.

We send newsletter and other marketing emails when you have asked to receive them. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. Marketing communications may include Yasmin’s newsletter, useful resources, service news, invitations and other relevant updates.

When you book or enquire about coaching

We may collect your name, contact details, appointment preferences, time zone, the service you are interested in and any brief information you choose to share about what you would like to discuss.

When you become a client

We may need contact, scheduling, service, payment, invoice and correspondence information to set up and deliver the agreed coaching service. Coaching can involve personal reflections and may sometimes reveal information about physical or mental health, relationships, beliefs or other sensitive matters. We will collect that information only where it is genuinely needed, where data-protection law allows it, and with appropriate safeguards.

Service providers, cloud systems and sharing

We use service providers to help us run the website and the business. Depending on how you interact with us, the categories of recipients with whom we may share personal information are:

  • website hosting, forms, security, technical support, booking and calendar providers;
  • email, newsletter, customer-relationship and communication providers;
  • cloud storage, email, collaboration and business-administration providers;
  • AI-assisted and automation services used for the purposes explained below;
  • website analytics, session-recording and marketing-measurement providers where their tools are enabled with the required choice;
  • payment providers, accountants, insurers and professional advisers; and
  • regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

We may use AI systems and tools to help organise information, summarise material, support administration or prepare draft communications. We decide why and how the information is used, limit it to what is reasonably necessary, and review the output before it is used.

Where a provider processes personal information on our behalf, we require it to handle that information under appropriate written terms and our instructions. Some organisations may decide for themselves how they use information for particular purposes. Where that applies, we will explain their role when required by data-protection law.

We keep internal records of the organisations currently used and their roles. You may ask us for the identities of recipients to whom we have disclosed or will disclose your personal information. We will provide that information where required by data-protection law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, analytics and similar technologies

The website uses necessary technology for functions such as security and delivery. With your choice, it may also use optional tools to understand and improve the visitor experience, measure engagement or support marketing. These may include website analytics, heatmaps, session recording and advertising measurement technologies.

You can review or change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer. The cookie-settings panel identifies the third parties currently used on this website and explains what their technologies do, their purposes, how long they operate and whether they are necessary or optional.

International transfers

Some service providers may store or access personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where this involves a restricted transfer, we use a safeguard recognised by UK data-protection law. You may ask which countries and safeguards apply to your personal information and how to obtain a copy of the relevant safeguards.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to meet legal or accounting obligations, or to deal with a complaint or legal claim. We then delete or anonymise it where appropriate.

You may ask us for the specific retention period that applies to your personal information, and we will tell you.

The period will depend on the type of information, the relationship we have with you, whether you have asked us to stop communicating, and any legal, accounting, safeguarding or dispute-related need to keep a record. A minimal suppression record may be kept after an unsubscribe so that we can respect the choice.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of your personal information;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to delete information;
  • ask us to restrict how information is used;
  • object to certain uses, including direct marketing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for use; and
  • complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal. Some rights have legal limits. We may need enough information to confirm your identity before responding.

To exercise a right, email privacypolicy@wellbeingwithyasmin.com. You can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk.

Keeping information secure

We use appropriate security measures to protect personal information. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through an ordinary website form or email.

If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will assess it and notify the Information Commissioner’s Office and affected people where the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. We will publish the current version here and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will take any further steps required by law.
