About Yasmin

You may have spent years caring for other people, doing your work and keeping life moving. Then something shifts. A familiar role changes, or the responsibilities keep growing, and it becomes harder to hear what you want.
Perhaps you're wondering who you are beyond being needed, or what you would choose if there were more room for you.
I'm Yasmin, a wellbeing coach for women in midlife. My background includes over 30 years in teaching, with roles as a Montessori directress and college lecturer. Alongside that working life, there have been changes that meant finding a way forward again.
Finding a way through change
When the rhythm of mothering changed, familiar routines gave way to space that felt unsettling. It took time to recognise that being needed differently did not mean being less valuable. Drawing and writing, put aside for years, gradually returned.
Divorce brought a different upheaval, and a second marriage ended too. Finding a way forward meant taking time to reflect, noticing repeated patterns and understanding needs that had been overlooked in the search for a new beginning.
Later, after almost three years caring for my mother, her death changed the shape of the days again. Meeting a friend for coffee felt unfamiliar at first. Gradually, being out with people became something to enjoy again.
Across those chapters, what helped was time, reflection and people who listened without taking over. Coaches and mentors asked questions that helped untangle personal needs from the responsibilities of looking after everyone else. There was room to hear a quieter voice and begin making choices again.
Making room for a life you enjoy
Drawing, writing, walks, travel and time with friends have all been part of reconnecting with life beyond its responsibilities. Quiet time and learning to rest when energy is low have mattered, too. Enjoyment has returned through ordinary moments as well as new experiences.
Those experiences are part of what I bring to our conversations: an understanding of how uncertain change can feel, and how much it matters to find your own way forward.
You may be adjusting to children becoming more independent, a relationship ending, caring for someone or living with loss. Or you may simply feel ready for something different. There is room to talk about where you are now and what you would like more of in your life.
Together, we can explore your strengths, values and needs, choose a practical step to try, then reflect on what you notice and adjust. Your circumstances, pace and choices guide the conversation.
Let's begin with a conversation
A Virtual Tea is a free, relaxed 30-minute online conversation. Bring what has been on your mind. We can meet and explore whether coaching together could be useful, with no obligation to continue.
